Male Breast Reduction - Gynecomastia
Male breast formation (gynecomastia) is a very common condition. Although benign, it can psychologically affect those with this condition. It may affect one or both breasts and is common during puberty. It may also occur as a result of prescription medicines, drug abuse, or may have no known cause.
After weight loss, many men complain of "breast formation." While this is not true gynecomastia, because it is excess skin and not breast tissue, it is still as troubling.
"Breast Lift" or Mastopexy
Many factors contribute to changes in breast shape and size. Some women's breasts do not develop an ideal shape or position after puberty. The normal aging process can result in "sagging" breasts, as the tissue loses its support. Pregnancy and breast feeding can also cause changes in the breast which can be helped with a breast lift. Additionally, weight loss may result in breast "sagging" as well.
